In Korea, a typical meal is served with dozens of side dishes called banchan (반찬). While they vary in color, form and taste, all serve the purpose of complimenting the meal in one way or another. One particular dish that I have come to love is gyeran jjim (계란찜), or steamed egg. Annamatic, or Anna Lee, made this lovely illustrated recipe for the dish that I will be trying my hand at very soon.
