I saw this on suck.uk.com and thought it was a really creative product. The Sun Jar uses solar energy to power a battery operated light by night. Looks cool and is energy efficient. Can’t beat that!

Double Takes: Waking Life

Probably one of my favorite movies and arguably one of my favorite scenes from that movie. Waking Life, written and directed by Richard Linklater, follows the main character through a lucid-dream. Structured around various philosophical monologues, the movie covers several major topics in philosophy. If you haven’t seen this film yet, I highly recommend it.

This is an archive of things found, things enjoyed and things shared. I launched double takes in 2007 and it’s been kickin’ ever since.

As for me, I’m an American ex-pat currently living in Seoul, South Korea. Moreover, I’m a Chicago native and recent college graduate who favors the nomadic lifestyle over settling down.

According to my diploma, I’m a writer, geographer, and political scientist… I prefer to travel. I’ve been told, however, that doesn’t count as a job title, so technically I’m a freelance writer by profession.

If there’s anything you should know about me it’s the following: I strongly believe that popcorn tastes best with m+ms. I collect maps, passport stamps, and freckles. I think Flintstone vitamins, erasable pens, and pez shooters are all wonderful inventions.
